Has anyone beaten it?
I have completed it this evening, but now the game and the addiction has started all over again. After completing the first journey, journey 2 introduces 'debris' that can only be removed by letting it fall out of the bottom. This makes things even harder. As a word of warning, just when you think you have completed the game, it throws up a really difficult screen day 81 or 82, I can't remember, but definitely after 80 , where I found it better to use the hammer rather than later power-ups to chip away at the pieces in the corners.
You'll see what I mean when you get there. With help from this thread I finally got past day 78, only to discover I cannot master day 81 the wedding day.
No matter what I do, or what power up I use, I can't get those pieces into the corners to fall out! I am determined to beat this thing! I didn't realize there was a second journey, yikes! I'll never get any housework done!! I can now say I completed Level 81 and the game for the first time! I finally figured out to use the hammer to break blocks on the sides of the columns where the items need to drop. I do this after I've gotten two of the same colors sitting side by side, then use the hammer to destroy the other blocks until I have the same color and can swap the item, voila!
Once you get the first few items dropped, it does get easier as you can then swap the colored disks above them. Now I'm starting Journey 2, such an addictive game. Glad you managed it in the end, grnnysews Your explanation of what you need to do was so much better than mine.
Well, I must say, this game is not allowing me any time to get anything else done around the house! I'm determined to beat this thing.. Still just up to 78 and now down to 2 lives RosnSC Member. I managed to get L78 but probably because somehow I got a lot of extra clock time. That thing must have ticked the equivalent of the amount of time we usually get. I have progressed on to L81, and just lost the first round. Using the hammer to chip away at the blocks on the sides of the column was mentioned.
You are talking about the 'brick' blocks at the bottom of the columns, right? I tried the hammer on two of them, and nothing happened, but then again there weren't matching tiles above them, either. Thanks to the tips about the firebombs, I've now managed to beat day 78, and am now stuck in day Fields said, "If at first you don't succeed, try again.
Then quit. No use being a damn fool about it. RosnSC, my apologies for not being clearer in my firrst post - I was being a bit lazy in my description. The stone walls are indestructible and you cannot chip away at them with the hammer. What I was trying to say was that the later, more powerful power-ups are not very useful. You need to get two tiles of the same colour adjacent to the piece you want to free on one side, and then use the hammer, whichever style, to remove the single piece between the one you are trying to free and the outer edge of the game area to bring a third, matching tile into place.
You might need to use the hammer a number of times to get this third piece at the right level. The reason the more powerful power-ups are not much use is that they can only be used away from the area you are working in if you are not to destroy the pair of tiles you are trying to work with. So here I am.. And someone mentioned in another post they edited game info to get extra lives, how in the world did they do that?
Each journey will get harder. The game said that there where 3 journeys. But there are more. I will start at journey 6 tomorrow and i have 18 lives now. Each , points you get a live. Also for extra lives you can take the red heart in the cirkel.
I did beat L81 last night, though it took a couple of tries I found you just have to work those pieces over to the outer blocks, where they will eventually fall to the bottom, and then out. I am on Journey 2 now. Copmom, I almost completely lost interest in Atlantis Quest, but then I got hold of a very simple cheat that someone posted, that made all the difference for me.
Now mind you, I wouldn't use cheats 'lightly', but only when I've played a level 'to death', and know that if I could just get that one little tile that is right there at the edge with only one other tile blocking it, I could win that level. As it is, now, I've gotten good enough at it - and learned that when finishing the very last level not to start a new game - that I am up to I think 81 lives, and a LOT of the 'tools'. I keep playing it over and over, too.
Sue - who played and replayed The Rise of Atlantis, too but eventually lost her knack with the last level, and took to making a new name and starting fresh I only managed to complete Atlantis Quest the once and lost all my saved extra time and all extra lives on the final level.
I find it much, much harder than Atlantis Rising. All those tiny game fields! So if you really do know a "simple cheat", please share! Weena Member. Ok everyone I am addicted. I played all night long and still got stuck.
Someone said that you can't break the stone walls, well if you can't do that then I am lost. When you say that you have to chip at the side do you mean that you are chipping at the edge of the stone wall? Not sure what level I am at but it is sure driving me crazy. If anyone can help please do. I just love this game, the graphics are fantastic. Hay just a question. Today is Sept 21st.
Any reason why we didn't get a new game today? I so look forward to the weekend. I never tried Atlantis Rising..
