Norton bikes for sale

About this vehicle This Norton commando is an original. The owner has had it for 2 years. Has been sitting in garage. Carbs may need cleaning. Has electronic ignition. What you see is what you get. Not many miles since motor was refreshed. Really a great bike. Does start and run but has poor compression. Has tools, owner manual and service manual. I would like to find a good home for this motorcycle.

Someone that isn't going to change everything out on it. Model Dominator. Powered by a fairly conventional for Norton looking cc parallel twin cylinder motor, cooled by the flow of air and oil and fueled by modern EFI Electronic Fuel Injection and perhaps most importantly spinning a superbly designed counter balancer shaft, this is the motor taking Norton into the modern world, and smoothly at that. All those stories of vintage Nortons with motor vibration capable of breaking fillings loose from your teeth, those are stories for old timers, anyone trying out the newest series of bikes will be rather impressed by the smoothness, not only the power and torque.

To keep the look appropriate for the modern classic class of bikes the EFI is well hidden and it takes more than a cursory glance to even spot the lack of old-school carburetors mixing the fuel and air that will propel your ride!

The engine uses degree crank pin offset to further smooth vibrations as well as laying down it's prodigious power in a completely tractable manner despite not using modern computerized traction control.

Brembo radial front brake master cylinder with remote reservoir. Brembo rear brake master cylinder Seat Height: mm 32". Model Commando Sport. All commando models are available in the dual seat option and available in all colours. The dual seat option gives the rider and pillion seat as well as a single seat configuration.

The easy to attach single seat cowl quickly turns the bike back into the stylish single seat form. Norton Commando Excellent condition rider quality bike. Ridden occasionally - 15k miles. Not a showpiece, but could be parked at any bike meet and it will draw people in. This is a rider that could be left as-is, or easily done a slight rolling restoration. The Commandos are wonderful and long-respected bikes for a real reason.

Matching numbers engine and frame. Better condition than many I've seen restored. Low mileage, well preserved Norton. Same owner since Recent tires and service. Runs and drives well. Always garaged. Never sat more than 4 months without being ridden. Model Atlas. The finest Original Norton Atlas motorcycle available. Out of a private collection of great motorcycles and well taken care of during its life on earth.

You might see our recent 'S' model on Andover Norton's Calendar. Worldwide Shipping. Unrestored original Norton HiRider. Was purchased from the original owners widow where it had been stored in dry storage on a California lemon grove. All three numbers are matching. The motor is free with excellent compression. Transmission gears all engage. Showroom condition. Will consider delivery. Purchased as pictured with the Black body work which I still have and will go with the bike.

The Dunstall body work was removed, and I had planned on getting it painted, while I rode it. A new fuel tank was sourced from Legendary Motorcycles, painted and installed. There is a new seat, fenders, tires, chain, sprockets, voltage regulator. A new NOS master cylinder, and rebuilt wheel cylinder were installed, along with a Pazon electronic ignition and rebuilt instruments.

A new Dunstall header system is installed, with older but nice Dunstall mufflers. Almost all of the old parts were saved. The Norton rides fine, and starts easily. Another project forces this sale. Perfect for a restoration project. Worked great when I put it in storage in I intended to do the restoration myself but had to move away before I could do it. Don't know if engine turns over or not as I had removed the battery, but no reason it shouldn't Does not have it's muffler.

Everything else is in very good condition. As you can see in the included pictures the frame and engine numbers match. Local pickup or buyer arranges and pays for shipping. All parts except mufflers and battery. Worked great when I put it in storage over a decade ago. Don't know if enginestarts now as I removed the battery before putting it in storage. Amazing find.
